I've been learning to milk my goats and make cheese from the milk. I've tried "Vinegar Cheese", Chevre and Neufchatel so far. The KAL is "Seasons of Lace." This is a KAL where you choose the pattern(s) that you want to knit with the yarn(s) you want to use. There will be prizes given out for different things, during the KAL. It runs from June 21 to September 21, 2008 for the Summer season, then there will be a winter season. The weather turned nice, so I finally got to start shearing. I did Strawberry today, she looks a little funny as my back and hands gave out before I finished her legs. I got 4 ounces each of 4 different colorways and 16 ounces of another one. The fiber is from Wonderland Dyeworks. I have Spring, Aurora, Mist, Pacific and Berries. The ones that I got 4 ounces of are for socks and the other is for a shawl for me to use in the mornings and evenings while enjoying the outside. I got 2 skiens each of the "Rock and Roll" and "Bluegrass" colorways. I made the "Rock and Roll" up using a slip stitch ribbing on the instep and leg with a short row toe and heel.
